Snowfall began around noon causing dangerous accumulations and treacherous roads. The national weather service is predicting a total of 4 more inches of snow overnight, with the most snow happening before 1 a.m.

“The majority of students live on dirt roads that don’t get ploughed very quickly,”
Some students were excited for the cancellations.
“I don’t know how many times school has been canceled already, but it’s happened quite a bit,” said Zachary Straus,
He’s not letting the bad roads get in the way of his fun, though.
“I’m going to try to go snowmobiling, since I don’t have class,” he said.
Others might not be so excited about the cancellation.
The Beal City girls' varsity basketball team has a game Thursday night at 7:30 p.m., which could potentially be canceled if the weather persists, and the road conditions remain unsafe.
